The site operates using a ramp-area method, with the waste dumped over the working edge of the pile. As it progresses, cover materials such as mineral soil and topsoil seeded with grass are placed on a semi-annual basis.

The site has a monitoring program to establish the effects of the landfill site operation on the surface water and groundwater adjacent to the property upon which it is situated.
