Villeneuve Construction has been involved in the placement of bituminous asphalt since the early 80’s for small residential & commercial projects. The material was obtained from the Timmins region or available when suppliers were installed in the region for large civil projects.

In the mid 90’s diversification of the company was again required. The purchase of a first ADM drum mix asphalt plant was the first step in the local supply of bituminous asphalt. This plant was targeted for smaller civil projects including the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Emphasis was placed again in providing quality products with fully approved facilities and testing laboratories. A few years later, an ASTEC double barrel drum mixer was acquired in order to be able to supply larger civil projects. Specialized placement equipment has been acquired over the years in order to be able to deliver quality products and to meet the contract expectations from the Ministry of Transportation.

Over the two decade, Villeneuve Construction has developed the reputation of being an important contractor and supplier in bituminous asphalt throughout Northern Ontario.
